The Computer Science and Engineering Department of the University of Dhaka and the Bangladeshi-Japanese company BJIT, along with various Japanese IT companies, are organizing the long-awaited hackathon, Code Samurai 2022.
Registration will begin in August and run until the end of September.
The main event will take place on December 20-21, at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the University of Dhaka and in the TSC auditorium.
The Code Samurai hackathon is a world-famous programming competition that provides students with the opportunity to develop their problem-solving skills.
This year, participants will have the chance to work on industry-related topics and analyze how technology can contribute to global problem-solving.
The goal of this hackathon is to prepare students for the emerging technological revolution and enable them to make a better contribution to society. Additionally, it will also help them in their future careers.
The hackathon will be divided into two phases, with the first phase consisting of an online programming test in which participants will attend an interactive capacity test with basic programming questions on IT topics. The selected teams will then proceed to the second phase of the day-long hackathon competition, which focuses on areas where technology and innovation can help solve global problems.
This year’s event will be a grand celebration of 50 years of Japan-Bangladesh friendship and 100 years of the University of Dhaka.
Many renowned Japanese companies will be present, providing a great networking opportunity for students to showcase their talents and improve their careers under the guidance of industry experts.
The event will also provide unique experiences, such as meeting new fellow students, scientists from different universities, and leading IT professionals from Japan and Bangladesh.
